The Knarburn is named after the catchment waterway local to the pub. It is the most romantic of the rooms, coated in William Morris’ beautiful wallpaper and boasting some carefully selected antique gems. The East facing window is elegantly framed by burnt red earth curtains, which complement the view over the mesmerising valley. Home to the locals and a tribute to birdlife. Their menu is small and specialises in amazing game from their own estate and wonderful meat from local farmers.

Each room has its own personality, in the weave of the fabric, hue of the walls, textures and antique gems.
All rooms have a spacious en-suite, king size Hypnos luxury mattress, power shower, smart TV, DAB blue tooth radio, hairdryer, mini fridge, fair trade down duvet and pillows, luxury cotton towels and bathrobes and sustainably made toiletries by The Bath House, made in Cumbria.
The kitchen is open for dinner on Wednesdays and for lunch and dinner Thursday to Sunday. Please remember to book your table, information is provided on your booking confirmation. Please note, the kitchen is closed Monday and Tuesday.
