Bridge End House is a stunning Grade II listed dog friendly country home which can sleep up to 14 guests which is set within the exclusive Featherstone Estate, beside the historic Featherstone Castle. Seamlessly blending heritage charm with modern comfort, the house offers a truly luxurious stay.
Guests can relax in elegant living rooms with wood-burning stoves, enjoy entertaining for that special occasion with a superbly equipped kitchen and elegant dining room. The property also benefits from private access to the South Tyne River, offering excellent fishing (two rods available) and opportunities for wild swimming.
With spacious bedrooms, a large enclosed garden, EV charging, and beautiful countryside views, Bridge End House is an exceptional setting for time spent with family and friends, a wedding reception, or a fishing retreat.

The Property

Step through the grand original front door into a beautifully tiled entrance hall, which leads to the master bedroom with en-suite, staircase, and the heart of the home: a stunning open-plan kitchen, elegant dining room, and living area.

The stylish kitchen features solid stone floors, oak worktops, a stone inglenook with range cooker, and a striking exposed-stone breakfast bar complete with wine fridge. Fully equipped for all your catering needs, there's also a utility room with an additional dishwasher and freezer, and downstairs cloakroom.

The dining room seats all 14 guests comfortably on a Georgian dining table, offering views over the garden and countryside. Two separate living spaces—a cosy lounge off the dining room and a separate snug—both provide comfortable seating, wood-burning stoves, and TVs for relaxed evenings in.

Bridge End House also includes a dedicated boot room with a separate entrance—ideal for returning from fishing, walks or adventures with muddy boots and paws. A dog crate, towels, and bowls are provided and plenty of space for drying your fishing gear perfect for storing fishing rods, waders, or sports equipment. Adjacent is a laundry room for the property with separate entrance, used by the housekeeper but with a washer, dryer & WC available to guests during your stay. Underfloor heating runs throughout the ground floor (excluding the area around the dog crate), ensuring a warm and inviting space in every season.

The ground-floor master bedroom offers step-free access, a stunning mahogany four-poster bed, and an en-suite with walk-in shower—ideal for those with mobility needs.

Upstairs, you’ll find six more bedrooms—five doubles and one twin—five of which feature original decorative fireplaces. All rooms are spacious and filled with natural light, offering countryside or river views, and ample storage.

There are two bathrooms upstairs:

One with a roll-top claw-foot bath, traditional high-level cistern toilet, and overhead shower.
Another with a fully enclosed modern shower cubicle.

You can book for up to 6 people at a discounted rate.
